Drama Digest

Qin mu Xuan and Gu zi jin give birth to an adorable child named Qin Xiao Bai. Mu Xuan and Zi jin do not meet for a few years but stumble upon each other when Xiao bai is five years old. Zi jin is a cold and strict CEO who hates women and does not like being in their company but his love for Mu Xuan makes him want to keep her by his side.

Xiao bai who is now five years old has never met his father and neither has he heard his mother talk about him. He feels out of place and gets bullied for not having a father by his classmates and he starts rebelling by hitting his classmates. His mother decides to ask his father to come back into Xiao Bai’s life but zi jin has different plans, he hopes to take away his son.

The Feel Good Part

The child actor playing the role of Xiao bai is one to look out for. He is such a young kid and acts so well, well beyond his age, and even in a short series that has barely 2 minutes, he manages to shine.

The Disappointing Part

To simply put, it’s a boring series, even in such a short time, they managed to bore people. It is a low-budget drama made for Chinese mobile platforms and there is something so off-putting about having to watch content with such a complex plot, on a vertical window.

In-Depth Analysis

This is a short-length series, a low-budget drama film made for Chinese mobile services and when you mix this aspect of it with an okay storyline, you practically get nothing interesting. The theme of the storyline is not unique, we have had dramas and movies with a similar plot which has much better production and cinematography. The runtime is so short, with barely 2-minute-long episodes just putting off the mood. If not for such cute acting by the child actors, this series would be unbearable.

Star Power

The cast of this show is not special, maybe because it is a low-budget film, but the child actors have done a remarkable job even at such young age.

Overall Opinion

A low-budget film that has a familiar plot, this series falls short of any accomplishment, be it the nature of its production and lack of good cinematography or the fact that no effort was made to give the characters a bit of depth, but what could have been done in barely 2 min per episode series. The cast of this show has done its best as per their roles given to them, the child actors are nevertheless the best part of this show, I would not recommend watching this show unless short series is something that the viewers would prefer.
