At this time, her professor Ji Ming Cong gets involved in a scandal. She discovers a secret about him when she tries to investigate things. Problems begin to appear for He Dun and the people around her. She starts to become stressed, and her sleepwalking disorder returns, which forces a suppressed and painful childhood memory to emerge back at the surface. Watch to find out if she can untie the painful knot that formed in her heart many years ago?

The drama was adapted from the novel “Nü Xin Li Shi” (女心理师) written by author Bi Shu Min (毕淑敏).

The Feed-Good Part

The drama is not precisely feel-good as it is a thriller. The drama focuses on the importance of mental health in our society and the types of hardships faced by psychologists. There are heartwarming moments between the two lead actors from time to time.

The Disappointing Factor

The story started by being very promising and compelling but, it got dragged out towards the end. The first half was good as it focused on side stories too. At the midpoint, the drama only started focusing on the main plot and neglected all the subplots. The main plot was not enjoyable by itself, which caused the drama to feel very slow in pacing. The job of a psychologist and mental illness are also not accurately portrayed but, that is expected in dramas.

The characters could have solved the professor’s scandal at the beginning with an accurate investigation through the police but the directors just kept it going for the sake of the plot.

In-Depth Analysis

The drama started as a typical psychological thriller with a very fascinating plot in the beginning. The side stories were excellent in which He Dun assessed the problems her patients were having and assisted them to overcome these issues.

Later the script went all over the place, and certain questions presented at the start were left unanswered, such as He Dun and Kaiyi’s relationship, He Dun’s family dynamics, the two new female psychologists, etc., and additional questions were presented later on along with another romance plot.

Star Power

Yang Zi and Jin Bo Ran are veteran actors suited for this type of role. They excelled in the drama and made it worth watching. The lead actors had excellent chemistry with each other. The supporting cast was also stellar.

Overall Opinion

Like most series, it started as being promising but towards the end got very confusing with multiple plotlines being kept open and not resolved. Despite this, the actors did a great job with their scripts and were engaging enough to keep us interested.
