Drama Digest

Jiang Xiao Xi is a Beijing native who comes from a well-respected family. She is a great pianist, but a miscalculation during a big championship leads her to lose faith and abandon her ambitions. She has been unwilling to put up any effort since then for fear of losing.

The Feel-Good Part

The female protagonist understands that if she ever wished to love someone sincerely again, she needed to forgive the male protagonist. When she learns that he has a significant psychological problem with marriage, they clear up their misunderstandings and become confidants and excellent friends. They do end up together, but not in a ridiculously dramatic way. I admire the female lead’s ferocity and find her entertaining. Sunny Wang accomplished an outstanding job in this function.

The Disappointing Factor

The male protagonist’s aversion to marriage isn’t a one-off. It’s a major psychological issue that takes a long time to resolve. It’s a result of trauma, and he literally has anxiety symptoms when it comes to marriage-related issues. His relationship and mental health suffer as a result of his phobia of marriage. One of my major criticisms is that the screenplay may be preachy at times, and the music can be corny.

In-Depth Analysis

A love story about a man who is afraid to commit and a lady who has low self-esteem. Chen Jiong has lost confidence in dating and relationships as a result of his parents’ divorce, leading to an unreasonable fear of marriage. He is capable of assisting others with their difficulties, but he has never been able to resolve his own. Jiang Xiao Xi is a Beijing native who comes from a well-respected family. She is a great pianist, but a miscalculation during a major competition causes her to lose faith and abandon her ambitions. She has been unwilling to put up any effort since then for fear of losing. Chen Jiong splits up with lover Xiao Yu due of his fear of commitment. Jiang Xiao Xi also breaks up with her boyfriend Wang Cong when he betrays her. Their individual interactions eventually bring them together.

Star Power

Contrary to what the synopsis suggests, the female protagonist does not have poor self in the sense that she is insecure. She is a vivacious and astute young lady. Not the Mary Sue kind, but someone who is actually strong and intelligent. She is quite capable and will not allow anyone to walk on her.

Overall Opinion

This narrative is interesting because it isn’t about a cheesy or theatrical love story. It’s not really flowery or romantic. There is a lot of development among the characters, particularly among the core cast. Overall, it’s a good drama with well-developed characters.
