Drama Digest
Bo Yan, as a ten thousand-year-old immortal, should have plenty of experience managing the affairs of the mortals entrusted to his care. However, when the ancient immortal inadvertently ruins a number of mortal marriages, he has no choice but to suffer the repercussions of his actions. Bo Yan is sent to the mortal realm after being demoted from his position in the heavens, to experience the tribulations that the humans he spent so many years watching over face.
The Feel-Good Part
As expected, ML’s character and growth went swimmingly. His portrayal of an immortal with little emotions who gradually learns to love and feel was superb. You will really enjoyed the plot, and it moved along at a good pace.
The Disappointing Factor
FL, because while being brilliant and funny, she couldn’t speak like a regular human and instead screamed like an entitled howler monkey. Only when she began speaking in female tones did her character begin to make sense, and you can be intrigued to see where everything would lead. Her cousin Ah Jing and Li Fu were arguably the oddest characters in the whole affair; it felt like they switched genders to me, but their pairing was wonderful, if somewhat dramatic.

However, when the ancient immortal inadvertently messes up a number of mortal weddings, he has no choice but to suffer the repercussions of his actions. Bo Yan is demoted from his heavenly perch and brought to the mortal realm to endure the tribulations that the humans he spent so many years watching over face. Bo Yan meets Shangguan Ya, better known as “Xiao Ya,” the proprietor of a thriving matching business, in an unexpected way while falling from the sky. Xiao Ya, a quirky young woman with a sharp wit and a brilliant mind, is initially perplexed by Bo Yan. He adopts the name Chu Ye in order to fit in with his new surroundings. However, as they spend more time together, it becomes clear that they are more than just friends.
Star Power
In the beginning of the drama, the story was introduced that a deity, without fear or care, simply focused on his work and broke the tree that brought good omen to a married couple, and he had no regrets for doing so, but in return he received punishment that if he went to the human world and lived a mortal life, he would fall in love, but his love story would not be complete, and he would return to heaven. But when he married and the shattered tree grew again, he returned to heaven, they both mourned, and she forgot about him.
Overall Opinion
It’s a good watch. Drama that is both funny and lighthearted. Ii is came in with no expectations and had a terrific time binge-watching it while giggling the entire time.
