The Feel-Good Part

If you’re looking for a realistic story, that is not a light hearted drama, you should definitely watch this drama. The acting and cinematography are truly good, the plot gets really intense sometimes, but if you’re looking for something that is realistic and contemporary, you will like it.

The Disappointing Factor

The acting and cinematography, as mentioned above, is great, but one cannot hold on to the lead characters. Watching the characters sometimes, may make your blood boil, but it is not because of the acting, but due to the personality if the Male and female leads. The female lead is spoilt and unreasonable. Meanwhile, the male lead means well, but is often portrayed as a weak character. So, you cannot help but only root for their kid who is battling leukaemia.

In-Depth Analysis

The story seems very realistic and is not about the divorced couple that decides to reconcile. It is about their child, who is battling Leukaemia. She is the only character, that you find yourself rooting for as she is only a child battling against fate. Meanwhile, the female and male lead are not characters, that you find yourself rooting. Even the supporting characters liker her nanny, are not characters you root for. The female character is portrayed as crazy and ignorant. She is an uptight bully, as her mother-in-law and mother slave after her. Meanwhile, the male lead is portrayed as weak and selfish in his own ways.

Star Power

Qin Hao (Xiao Lu) and Ren Su Xi (Fang Yi Nuo) have beautifully acted in this drama. They have made their characters look so realistic, that it even makes the viewer dislike their characters. Ren Su Xi has acted the role of the egoistic and bat-shit crazy, Fang Yi Nuo’s character perfectly. Meanwhile, Qin Hao has also acted the role of the weak, yet selfish, Xiao Lu’s character perfectly. The supporting roles have also portrayed the characters very well.

Overall Opinion

If you’re looking for a drama, that is not focused on romance, instead, it is focused on the character, that is the male and female’s lead child, “Left Right” is the drama for you. However, it is only recommended, if you’re looking for a sad and intense drama, as in some scenes it gets hard to watch the little girl fight against her struggles, while she has mother that is bat-shit crazy and a father who is weak- willed.
