Drama Digest

Shun, an IT expert who had lost his cushy bank job and his girlfriend, is the newest member of a co-working space  named Born Hub. Shun expected other people in the company to be helpful and friendly instead, his expectations had not been met. He then, through his successes and failures, learns many essential things.

 The Feel-Good Part

The feel-good part of the series was that Shun was an executive in an IT bank company from which he got fired, and at the same time, his girlfriend left him. Still, Shun had the spark and courage to start a new course in life by joining Born Hub. His determination and never quitting attitude were the feel-good part of the series which motivated him.

 The Disappointing Factor

The series was brilliant in its way. There were no disappointments in production quality. The only disappointment while seeing the drama was that Shun had expected other people in Born Hub to be in harmony with each other and treat each other with utmost respect and helpfulness. Still, unfortunately, his expectations did not meet as people in Born Hub were constantly trying to interrupt one another and trying to pull each other down.

 In-Depth Analysis

Born Hub is a co-working space designed for ambitious entrepreneurs to build the next sensational startup. Shun is the newest member of the team who has just been fired from his IT bank job and ditched by his girlfriend as well. In vision to make his dream app, he expects of teaming up with similar-minded aspiring entrepreneurs. Unfortunately, he finds his new colleagues or co-workers are eccentric geeks setting out to ruin rather than help each other with the missions. This uniquely Hong Kong take on Silicon Valley starts as a scathing satire of the cutthroat startup universe. Still, as Shun experiences successes and failures while his journey in Born Hun, In Geek We Trust comes out as an inspiring story about the motivating power of teamwork and helpfulness.

 Star Power

Shun is a guy who has seen ups and downs. While his lousy phase, he never lost the spark and courage to succeed in life. Without any support from a third-party, he found a medium to make his dream app. In Born Hub as well, reality did not meet his expectations. Still, through successes and failures, he learned a lot. The fire in him to never quit is his power indeed.
