Drama Digest
Twenty-one villages of Fangxiang Town of Dalou Mountains still is in poverty in 2012. Three main villages are more than below the poverty line. To change the status and get the villagers out of their financial problems, the country party committee decides to make Shi Xiao Feng the secretary to handle projects for Fangxiang town. They plan to develop some rural and red tourism industries to drive attention to the villages. In three years of setting up the committee, villages turned better and wealthier because of efforts put in by the secretary. His innovative ideas and plans helped the project a lot. Their hard work and commitment paid off in the end.
The Feel-Good Part
The show portrays the beauty of rural areas with captive sceneries. It showcases the attractive and naturally abundant villages that connect the audience with nature. It also depicts the struggles and troubles faced by rural people due to industrialization in urban areas. The show has a satisfying result, which turns their hardships into good results for the villages. They also have dramatic and romantic factors to keep the show interesting. The actors did a decent job in performing their respective characters. It also has some political aspects, which will keep the audience intrigued.
The Disappointing Factor
The production values and directorial style could have been better in this show. The dramatic storylines of some characters seemed over the top at times. It had too many unnecessary plotlines that diverted from the central idea, which can be frustrating to watch. Even the plotlines were a bit overdone to exaggerate its effects.
In-Depth Analysis
A town with many villages facing poverty gets help from the country’s party committee due to the recent Presidential announcement to develop rural areas and urban cities together. A secretary is appointed to look after the developmental project of these villages. Haumao Village, Zhifang Village, and the local village are the most underprivileged villages around this town. Through months of planning and plotting, they form rural agricultural tourism projects, but in the beginning, they face some ups and downs but get through them with determination. After many efforts, things change with an improved outcome. The poverty is diminishing, and villagers are gaining enough wealth to have necessities fulfilled.

Wang Xun plays the role of Tang Wan Cai, Zhu Mo portrays Ouyang Cai Wei, Shao Feng portrays the character of Shi Xiao Feng, and Shang Da Qing plays Lao Yao in this show.
Overall Opinion
The show has some good and bad aspects, so it might not be for everyone. It is an average show, but the audience could still give it a try at their own risk.
