Drama Digest
The Chinese drama “Hardcore Lovers” goes with another name, “Dear, I didn’t expect it,” and revolves around the everyday domestic life of three young couples. This drama shows how couples spend days together laughing, crying, fighting, and loving each other. This drama has been portrayed uniquely. In these thirty episodes, every two episodes share the same story but with a twist. In every two episodes, the first one shows the female character’s point of view; the second episode presents the male character’s perspective. This element of the plot makes the entire drama interesting.
The Feel Good Part
The best part about this is that it portrays the plot from both a male and female point of view. The stories shown in the play do have a comedic element to them. But it also shows the true meaning of love. It tells that every relationship has happy days and sad days. No matter how much a couple fights and gets into an argument, the love remains the same.
The Disappointing Part
The plot becomes messy, showing the story from two different perspectives. The pace of the storyline, too, felt uneven at some point. However, this didn’t affect the quality of the drama.
In-Depth Analysis
The first couple is Li Haiyin and Gao Haibao. They have been in a love relationship for two years. They have pretty different views on domestic or married life. Two other couples that are close friends with Li Haiyin and Gao Haibao are Hua Hua and Yu Zhiming and Wu Xiaoyou and Zhang Daqian. They graduated from the same college. It is a weekly tradition among them to have a meet-up every Monday. The story mainly revolves around the perspectives of Haiyin and Haibao, and how their different approach to living together gets them into silly fights and funny arguments. In the first two episodes, after they officially start living together, they find each other behaving in different ways. Even after knowing each for two years, moving in together seemed like a significant change in their lives. Haibao wonders how Haiyin rejected him when he tried to kiss her in the morning while she was asleep just because he hadn’t brushed his teeth? Every time, even at home, Haiyin tries to apply makeup so that she looks attractive in front of Haibao. Every episode of this drama shows the couple acting silly around each other, which makes the drama even more hilarious. The show also continues the lives of the other two couples in addition to this one.
Star Power
The casting actors did a great job entertaining the audience with their incredible acting skills. They made the funny spots more hilarious and the soft spots emotional. All the six main characters had fantastic chemistry between them.

This drama can be a fantastic choice if you’re looking for a funny and wacky romantic drama.
