Drama Digest
Yan Ke and Xiong Yifan are childhood friends who reunite other after years, where Yan Ke is a young pianist and Xiong Yifan is a strong athlete who was once a tom boy. It’s a sweet college romance where the leads run into each other in college and fall in love gradually, which leads to romantic chemistry between Xiong Yifan and Yan Ke. It also consists of little love triangle where Bai Yu is second lead and is kinda playboy but later endeavours to change himself for Xiong Yifan.
The Feel-Good Part
The simple and cute story where Xiong Yifan is childhood crush of Yan Ke but always kept is as a secret and later it grows into a beautiful romantic relationship. It has many cute moments and has an engaging story.
The Disappointing Part
The story initially is dragged and the pre-confession part is real slow with unnecessary content. The basic plot is not something new, just the old sweet romance.
In-Depth Analysis
The entire plot consisting of this sweet childhood love turning into a romantic relationship. Its title “First romance” speaks for itself and the plot didn’t go offtrack. This is a perfect blend of romance, feelings, jealousy, chemistry and heart-warming moments. One of few good things about this story is the leads were fond of each other throughout and were true to their feelings no matter what. It’s a adorable story which nice casting and good music which is very pleasing.
Star Power
Wan Peng and Riley wang who are the leads of First romance played their roles beautifully. The acting was effortless and seemed very real which made the show more engaging. Ken Wu who is the second lead also did a remarkable work.
Overall Opinion
Over all it is a lovely story, great cast, nicely done which a great script. Perfect for those who is looking for light hearted and sweet content and is worth a while.
