Drama Digest

Qiu Jia Ning is one of the leading researchers in the “Source Project” laboratory. When her trial is in the clinical phase, a new researcher arrived, Zhao Xiao Shan. His wisdom and silent nature attract Qiu Jia Ning.

But she doesn’t know that he is a broker who is here to steal the information of her research.

Now will he be able to steal the information, or Qiu Jia Ning will change him?

The Feel-Good Part

The female lead is an intelligent, witty, and independent woman. Even though she makes some rash decisions towards the end, she is a good enough character. Chinese drama needs more characters like him.

The Disappointing Factor

Despite having a good plot, the show fails at executing it. There were many high expectations from the show as it has an intriguing storyline, but it gets boring. The show would have been good enough if there were around twenty to twenty-five episodes, but it just goes on, and it starts getting draggy.

 In-Depth Analysis

Qiu Jia Ning has devoted her whole life to this research job. She has a very strong mindset of not only proving herself in the scientific community but also establishing her country’s name around the world.

Zhao Xiao Shan is a broker who joins the “source project” to purloin information about their research. They both get attracted to each other, and things start to get complicated.

The starting of the drama is highly political, but it subsides eventually. But the show had great potential; the storyline is also pretty cool, but it is not intriguing and nothing you will wait for or look forward to watching.

Star Power

The female lead’s role is played by Victoria Song, who is a former South Korean girl group f(x) member. She did an outstanding job playing Qiu Jia Ning, an independent and strong woman. Zhao Xiao Shan’s role is played by Luo Yun Xi. He also did a fantastic job in his role.

Overall Opinion

There is nothing sort of intriguing about the drama. The storyline seems promising, but it was indifferent and had many plot holes.
