Drama Digest

This drama follows Du Di and Wu Cong Rui. They work in one of the highest-rated hospitals in all of China in the Obstetrics and Gynecology department, and even though they are quite smart, they end up being direct rivals, and the story follows their journey inside and outside the hospital as they grow to become better doctors and save more lives. They try to put aside their rivalry and work together as colleagues.

The Feel-Good Part

The actors gave amazing performances, especially during comedy scenes, and their chemistry cannot be denied. They are perfect for their roles. The story is also perfect for showcasing all the relationships that exist between the characters as they navigate their lives in the hospital and outside the hospital. This show felt especially good because it focused on several social issues that are generally disregarded and ignored.

The Disappointing Factor

It was really strange to see such scenes since the infants portrayed in them were clearly artificial because they were shot up close. This program also highlighted patriarchal concerns including female infanticide, abortion of female children, and the necessity for mothers to ensure that their children have a father present, despite the danger the man may pose to both of their lives and therefore is not essential. The voice overs that are provided at times did not match the actors lips and they were not synced properly as a result; it may make one lose interest.
