Drama Digest

The drama focuses on the beautiful Ban Hua who in reality is a very sensible and thoughtful woman, but her straightforward and short-tempered exterior might make her come across as rude and mean person to many. This is the exact reason why even after three diligent attempts of getting hitched; she still fails to be accosted with the bliss of marital life. However, things take an interesting turn when unexpectedly, one day she finds out that possess a rare power which enables her to predict the future via her dreams. She uses her unique talent to help her family out of their problems. She then meets Rong Xia, who is a young maverick whose family has suffered a tragic destiny, and thus he is on a hunt to search for the true culprit who did that all to him. Ban Hua and Rong Xia end up building a friendship between them, as Ban Hua is determined to unravel the truth for Rong Xia. But will this alliance end up being something more than just friendship, giving Ban Hua a successful opportunity to experience marital life?

The Feel-Good Part

The main characters, on their own individual levels, are quite well developed and strong. The best part is that their remarkable and fascinating personalities remain consistent throughout the show. You won’t find the character acting foolish just because they are ‘in-love.’ It is lovely to see the characters have stories of their own and acting independent enough. You will often see them making their own important decisions without the influence of each other. Furthermore, the cool and powerful female lead is definitely something that many people will look up to. Also, Ban Hua’s exquisite outfits are undoubtedly something worth swooning over.

The Disappointing Factor

For the fan of the novel, the show might not be as outstanding as compared to the rest. Reasons being that the story of the drama is indeed distinct from the original storyline of the novel. Personally speaking, it would have been way more entertaining if the ending was the same as the novel’s. Another disappointment would be the editing at a handful of situations, since at these points the transitions kind of felt odd and jarring. But then again, because this happens rather occasionally, thus it can be neglected easily.

In-Depth Analysis

The drama has been adapted from the Chinese novel, ‘Wo Jiu Shi Zhe Ban Nu Zi’ written by ‘Yue Die Ying.’ The drama has a great balance of romance and humor. You will often come across many heartwarming cute scenes, while the comedy will also have a significant effect on you. The drama is undoubtedly very wholesome and you will enjoy every moment of it. Majority of its elements serve as a fresh breathe in comparison to the usual cliché romance stories. For instance, how the female leads had a good and loving family, because of which there ain’t any family drama to torment you. Moreover, the story doesn’t support any baseless, stupid misunderstandings among the main leads, which generally leave the audience frustrated beyond words. To sum it all up, the drama won’t trigger you to pull your hair out in annoyance like majority of the historical dramas. Instead, you can sit back peacefully and blindly trust the unique storyline, enjoying every minute of it.

Star Power

‘Guan xiao Tong’ and ‘Neo Hou’ play the role of the main leads, and without any second thoughts, they both did a phenomenal job. They were accompanied by an amazing supporting cast which consisted of, ‘Li Chung Lin,’ ‘Xia Nan,’ ‘Zhao Shun Ran,’ ‘An Yong Chang,’ ‘Leo Jiang,’ and etc.

Overall Opinion

It is a great drama with major re-watch value. Although the drama might be slightly lengthy for a few, nevertheless audience is guaranteed to enjoy it. Rather in the end you might find yourself wishing that the drama should have had a few more episodes.
