Drama Digest

Modern-day Tokyo primarily consists of aspiring people who have many wishes and desires. As people try to live their lives to the fullest, heavy darkness seems to spread over them, taking them away from all they know and love or taking what they love away from their hands. When the people are about to give in to despair and grief, everything returns to normal, and life continues as if nothing was ever wrong. How exactly did this come to be? A group of ninjas by Toukeshuu have been protecting the citizens of Tokyo from the evil darkness. For how long will they be able to continue this fight without losing themselves to it?

The Feel-Good Part

It is always good to see brave heroes fight off bad guys. The anime is replete with mysterious heroes who appear in time to end the bad guys and save ordinary people from succumbing to the darkness. The heroes have a sentimental side, making the story all the more enjoyable.

The Disappointing Factor

After the first few episodes, the story becomes predictable. The repetitive pattern of bad things happening to good people and heroes coming to their rescue gets slightly tiresome as the episodes progress. However, after the tenth episode, things start to change a little, and thus the anime goes back to being as enjoyable as it was in the beginning.

In-Depth Analysis

Each episode has a theme and works within the framework of that theme. Even though it is supposed to be a horror anime, it isn’t as scary as expected. Moreover, the audience barely gets to know who the secretive ninjas are. A slightly more elaborate telling of their individual stories would have added more depth to their respective characters making the anime more interesting. However, the story’s build-up was pretty good in each episode, although it could have been better.

Star Power

As always, the voice actors did not disappoint when delivering the emotions and feelings experienced by their characters. Their performance is always the reason, apart from the graphics, music, and story that make watching anime enjoyable. They bring their characters to life, almost wishing you knew those characters in real life.

Overall Opinion

Ninja Collection is a horror anime with thirteen episodes, each roughly five minutes long. Those who put away watching animes due to the many episodes they tend to have can watch this as it does not take much time. Moreover, the story moves fast. This anime is a good choice for those curious about animes but are too busy to spare the needed time.
