Movie Digest

The story is about two childhood friends, Rinko and Kitarou, who are now grown up, and both are working as music teachers in a high school. They are known as Tatsuma Sensei because of their unique appearance. Kitarou is a genius, and is also skillful in piano, and music composing. His students consider him as the best teacher. Kitarou played Rachmaninoff with his big hands. He played it so wonderfully and with lots of efficiencies. Whereas Rinko, on the other hand, also loves playing piano but, her skills are clumsy. Despite this, she is hard-working person. She has an inspiration for Chopin. A terrible situation arises when they both had to perform, “Great Hanshin Awaji Earthquake”, and “Focal Dystonia,” together. It was a big challenge for both where they had to prove themselves being pianists. But, despite lots of hurdles, and sufferings, the two perform so well that the sound of the piano cherishes everyone’s soul.

The Feel-Good Part

The best part of the film was though Rinko was clumsy, she was very hard-working, and one day it pays her off.  After lots of hurdles, and struggles they didn’t give up. They look the challenge of performing “Great Hanshin Awaji Earthquake,” and “Focal Dystonia,” and they perform very well.

The Disappointing Factor

Although, both are childhood friends and music teachers in a high school, even both have their unique appearances due to which they are known as Tatsuma Sensei. Rinko is somehow shown to be weaker compared to Kitarou.

In-Depth Analysis

The story shows that the female protagonist, Rinko was a fan of Chopin, but her piano skills are clumsy. In contrast, her childhood friend Kitarou (male protagonist) was a genius and very skillful. Both are music teacher of a high school. He also played Rachmaninoff with his big hands and his students considered him best. This film is a perfect blend of drama and music genres. Here, you can see the emotional conflict of the female protagonist because she is less skillful compared to her friend.

Star Power

This film is directed by Yoshino Takemoto, and produced by Shuhei Kondo. This film is starred by Shione Mituza as Rinko and Kenji Nakamura as Kitarou in the lead role and many other actors like Luna Gianetti, Miho Tomizu, Takahiro Izumi, etc. in supportive roles.

Overall Opinion

This is a good movie, and the character of the female lead actress is very inspiring. I would really suggest you all to watch this film if you are fond of Japanese movie.
