Drama Digest

Malik Johnson Jr. is a pure aspiring manga artist, while Kageyama Nobuhiro is a singer-songwriter who has a major trauma from a previous romance; Iizuka Masaki is a theatre actor who falls in love too easily; and Kageyama Nobuhiro is a singer-songwriter who has a major trauma from a previous romance. As assistants to a romance influencer, these three awkward and unpopular boys will struggle as they discover many sorts of love in a share house that has been converted from a church.

The Feel-Good Part

The coping mechanisms shown in the movie are shown in a very comedic and engaging manner. The representation of people from other countries in a Japanese drama is a very refreshing and broad minded concept, considering the country Japan as a very traditional and strict country. Falling in love easily is also a concept taken very less as people mostly go for slow burn type romances.

The Disappointing Factor

There are close to no disappointing factors in this drama other than its slow pacing and distracting characters. Adding multiple stories and characters while one story is going on is a distracting factor and makes the audience confused on which story to focus on. The clumsiness in all three of the main characters is only to make the drama see more relatable to people but it would have been better if realistic situations were shown in the drama to make it seem relatable.

In-Depth Analysis

The story is about three people, Malik Johnson Jr., who is an aspiring manga artist, Kageyama Nobuhiro, a singer-songwriter, and Iizuka Masaki, an actor. All of them have their personal problems that they have to deal with all throughout the drama. The way in which they deal with their problems is comedic and teaches a lot of things to a certain limit. All three of them share a house a d help each other in solving their problems and become good friends and face all the challenges coming their way.

Star Power

The main attractive part about the cast is the inclusion of a black person. Ike Nwala, a comedian, is one of the three main cast in the movie and that has attracted a lot of attention from the fans. Watanabe Daichi and Kikuchi Fuma being the other two main actors in this drama. Both of them are members of different boy groups and thus attract a lot of viewers who are their fans.

Overall Opinion

In general, this is a good watch and after the drama is subbed, it is open for the international audiences too. This drama ha s shown a major change in the mindsets of Japanese people who we notorious for portraying black people in a negative light, judging their characters and trying to justify racism. This drama’s cast was a refreshing trio to the audience.
