Drama Digest –

A farewell party organised about Katsuhito Ando becomes an inspirational journey beginning for three former captains of her basketball team. When Kana, Yuko and Tsuaranga are upset about their present and always creep up to their past of how nice it was, the teacher indirectly gives them a new way of changing their present and starting again. They all come back as a family to change the situation. The death of their former coach brought a huge difference in their life, as they realized their true potential is still untapped and not discovered yet.

The Feel-Good Part –

Dream team is very different from the usual female-centred stories made. It has three women protagonists, and they have different personalities, ages, and careers who come together about something legendary. They all used to play basketball under the same coach and now they feel miserable for their current situation. They start living in the old basketball dorm and embark on a beautiful journey of growth. The values provided by the show brings a massive shift to the viewers and brings another magic through it.

The Disappointing Factor –

The story becomes meaningless and boring when they stop their jobs and start living in the dorm. It is absurd to do and it also doesn’t make sense. The acting and production could’ve been better with more characters and more scenarios to show. The series is concise and doesn’t succeed in giving the show complete closure and it feels incomplete to provide less screen time. The show does get dreadful and unsatisfactory at some parts, which is unacceptable when a show has such a lovely story.

In-Depth Analysis –

All three women embark on a beautiful journey of self-transformation and growth to be better people altogether. A heartwarming story of all the family members of these three women living together shows so many changes in their personalities when they realize their true potential, which is so emotional to see. Their coach’s death caused such a void in their heart which inspired them to change. The smooth transition between the disturbing and uninspiring life and making small steps to their dream life is particularly amazing to watch.

Star Power –

The three main leads of the story, Yuko, Kana and Akane, belong to different worlds under the same country. While Yuko is a professional for a company and works very hard, Kana is a housewife and cares for her husband, a university professor and her daughter. Akane is a social media influencer and the youngest of them all. All come together in the dorm to connect more with basketball again. All the women have a difference present with a common past, basketball, which was one of the rewarding times of their lives.

Overall Opinion –

An inspiring story with inspiring characters. A good investment for your time!
