Drama Digest
My strange friend is a story about a group of people who posses exceptional ability to read minds, see future, conjure electricity and become invisible. Wei Yi Chen had discovered that he had done superpowers due to his genes that are mutating within his body. They can know what they are thinking by touching someone’s face. While, Wei Yi Chen’s powers seem to be dissipating. His powers has been inherited by Nan Ruo Yi; he inherits the ability to conjure electricity. While Duan Mu Hao has the ability to see future.
The Feel-Good Part
After being a non-original drama the drama has maintained some uniqueness in it.
The Disappointing Factor
There are many plot holes. The ending was not satisfying it was random. It did not have production values.
In-Depth Analysis
The beginning of the drama interesting. As the story goes on it becomes boring. Nan Ruoyi played by Wang Mangli was promising. Afu’s character is interesting and logical that was introduced din the second half. They developed his character slowly that made the story slow. The ending is confusing. Till the end they developed only one character which is not efficient. It feels like the story is being dragged.
Star Power
The main cast includes Wang Yi Bo, Wang Meng Li, Zhang Yi Jie, Zhang Nan and Xiao Xu. All of the actors did justice while portraying their roles.
Overall Opinion
The drama is fun to watch. It featured supernatural powers with comic-elements.
