Drama Digest:

Gu Nian was a happy housewife who worked full-time until her husband got entangled in a criminal case and was found to be having an affair. Song Jia Chen, Gu Nian’s successful lawyer husband, and their three children led contented lives. But when Song Jia Chen was not only charged with a crime but also discovered to have cheated on her, things changed. Through Feng Sheng’s recommendation, Gu Nian secures employment at a legal firm and makes an effort to start afresh.

The Feel-Good Part:

It was intriguing right away in the first episode. The legal system is appealing. The specific cases that were handled provided an excellent illustration of how the law operates. The audience is delighted by some of the scenes because they were not what they expected. Some scenes are relatable to the audience. In actuality, the effects combine charming and spooky parts. In addition, the story never becomes dull.

The Disappointing Factor:

We must admit that it is wonderfully crafted, but it can be felt that Yuan Quan was not the best choice for the part. The writing is quite weak, and the story could have been expanded upon more. The setup of the series could have been explained in greater detail. The editing is occasionally lackluster, and the side stories should have been written better. The television show could have taken more surprising turns to maintain its charm.

In-Depth Analysis:

Gu Nian strives to clear Song Jia Chen’s name after impressing Ling Yi, a partner at the legal company, with her outstanding performance. Gu Nian’s experience at work has bolstered her independence and strength, enabling her to not only reach a professional apex but also advance valiantly and fearlessly to defend the justice of the law. The show carefully examines the harsh reality of life. The mystery and drama are expertly woven together throughout the play. You also have the romance component, which is a necessary component of a K-drama. The series’ latter half is particularly thought-provoking. You might laugh out loud and cry watching the show. After watching this show, your opinion of how Korean TV series is produced will have changed. After you watch the first episode and understand it thoroughly, the rest of the series will go more smoothly.

Star Power:

Smooth and entertaining character growth was evident. Also acceptable: a love triangle but everything died in the end. to allow the main character to win while losing. It ended abruptly and too quickly. Not that everything needs to end in a pink cloud and a wedding, but this was depressing. And the main character completely sickened me.

Overall Opinion:

This drama is a translation of The Good Wife from America. At first, this drama was pretty good. Even for K-dramas veterans, this eccentric one has a fresh storyline. It must be admitted that it is well made, but I did not think Yuan Quan was the best choice for the part because she seems too accomplished and unflappable to be affected by anything. If you want to binge watch a family-drama with a pinch of law and crime then it is a good choice to go for.
