Drama Digest
The plot revolves around Eva, a model who suffers from “balloon illness,” which causes her to gain weight if she eats more than a specific number of calories. Ruan Dongsheng, the male lead is a well-known chef who is unable to taste.
The Feel-Good Part
The plot was a little unique, but the story was good and well-executed. This is one of the few dramas in which there isn’t any sudden jealousy or the development of affection between old friends. The kisses and skinship were realistic, and the chemistry was fantastic. It covered a wide range of topics, including prejudice and stereotypes in today’s culture. So, in my opinion, it was well-executed for a drama.
The Disappointing Factor
To begin with, the plot is absurd, because the FL can become fat after consuming more than 1000 calories and then appears to be able to quickly shed weight and return to normal. After donating blood to ML’s mother, FL is also cured. As a result, the entire plot should not be taken seriously. It’s difficult to grasp this concept; the story concentrates on FL keeping her secret hidden and ML suppressing his affections. The humor in this series is also lacking unless you consider the model competition, when all of the girls/contestants, except the FL, seem like farmers.
In-Depth Analysis
Ruan Dong Shen, a high school senior, fell in love with Zhen Yuan Yuan, a fat girl. A misunderstanding caused them to be separated. They reunited many years later. Yuan Yuan had become a slender fashion model known as Eva at the time, while Dong Shen had become a prosperous entrepreneur and chef. They embarked on an incredible love adventure together, but things may not go as planned.
Star Power
Eva’s “illness” is the primary impediment to her becoming who she truly is. She had been traumatized in the past since she was obese and humiliated. But, after all of her encounters with Ruan Dongsheng during the drama, she ultimately realizes that being obese isn’t a hindrance and that she can still achieve her goals.
Overall Opnion
You must watch this without being concerned with the plot’s flaws. There will be numerous things that will make no sense, so if you can ignore them, you may simply enjoy the show.
