TV Show Digest

The concept of House on Wheels was introduced to us in Season 1. The idea of living anywhere with no constraints and no burden was the theme of S1, which remains the same in S2.

The dream continues in the same season where the trio continues their travels around the country.

The main changes between S1 and S2 are; first, the actor Sung Dong II and Kim Woe Won returned to reprise themselves, but Im Si Wan replaced Goo. The second is the home has been upgraded. Also, in this season, unlike the earlier season, the trio is constantly traveling. They do not camp for long.

The guests continue to spend time with the trio, and it is a surprise to watch Yeo Jin Goo return as a guest. The dynamics between the original three of Dong, Won, and Goo continue to be warm, and Wan brings in a new flavor.

In the previous season, they visited Gangwon, Gochang, and Geojedo, among others. During this season, they travel to Pyeongchang, Pohang, Gyeongju, and the Southern region of Korea. Like in S1, in S2, they camp at Mount Jiri.

The individual charm of each actor adds to the series. Dong’s paternal and Won’s maternal personality remains unchanged, but Im Si Wan is a nice touch, although Goo is missed.

The series is about meeting new people, reconnecting with old friends in a different set-up, making memories, and trying out local food.

The Feel-Good Part

The concept of home on wheels continues to rejuvenate and revitalize the audience. It makes one think about investing in a home on wheels. The freedom to live where you choose is refreshing.

Since they travel across the country, observing them interact with others is pleasant. They also taste local dishes which look delicious and make one want to travel to these far-flung places.

It also teaches us to be grateful for the abundant natural beauty we are blessed with, and we must protect it. The central focus of gratitude and kindness continues in this season also.

The chemistry between the trio is fabulous, even though one of them has changed. The bond created during the series is strong and might continue after the series ends. The memories made and the collective experiences are hard to forget.

Bringing Yeo Jun Goo for the finale was a beautiful touch, and watching the quartet was great fun.

The Disappointing Factor

This season is good but not as much S1. The main challenge was that S2 was shot during winter, so outdoor activities were limited.

Also, some of the guests in S2 were a tad introverted and perhaps conscious of the camera. They were not natural.

The warmth and comfort of S1 are missing in S2.

In-Depth Analysis

If one has the opportunity to stay where one wants with financial payouts, would you take up the chance?

The series explores the concept of home and travel and wheels. Three celebrities come together to live in an R.V and travel across the country. Two of them, Dong and Won, return this season and share a rapport, but they do not exclude the new addition who is Im Si Wan. When they begin the journey, they are strangers to the new person, but as they progress, they become a family.

The series is about connecting with your roots, interacting with new people from varied backgrounds, meeting and cooking for old friends, and living a different life with unique challenges.

Like in S1, S2 has a few funny and touching moments. For instance, the connection between Dong and Won is fabulous, and with Im Si Wan, the trio is excellent. They were having Goo as a guest completes the journey.

The series showcases the Korean landscape and its natural beauty.

Star Power

The fabulous trio of Sung Dong II, Kim Hee Won, and Im Si Wan.

Overall Opinion

While this season is not as good as S1, it is still a good watch. But do watch S1 before watching S2.
