Movie Digest

Golf passed away five years ago, leaving behind all those who loved him including Bank. Five years later, Bank has still not forgotten his step-brother, the love they had for each other and the sacrifices that were made. On the day Bank is supposed to graduate from a university in Chiang Mai, Bank finds out that Golf is somehow actually still alive. The two brothers will reunite, and talk out their feelings. They have been apart for five years, both now have questions that were left unanswered, times have changed, and society has changed during their time apart. Amidst all this, their new and old friends are by their side, ready to support them and help them grow their love back.

The Feel Good Part

Golf and Bank have some cute moments that one can appreciate in this series-turned-movie version. I am glad that this movie edition only focussed on Golf and bank and not the other supporting actors, although the supporting actors did a very good job in the original series.

The Disappointing Factor

Some viewers found the movie edition better than the series. I had hoped for the sequel but I was disappointed. The storyline killing Golf in the original series and then unnecessarily bringing him back after five years is just annoying. Why would family and friends lie that Golf had died, the writers could have come up with any plot except death, which was useless. The actors have not done a good job this time, Bank barely had any reactions throughout the series, he barely even reacted upon learning that the love of his life aka Golf is alive, which was unusual and awkward in all honesty.

In-Depth Analysis

The movie edition is just a cut-up version of the second season of My bromance. The cut-up version focuses on just the story of Golf and Bank while ignoring the side story characters that sometimes made the story interesting. I do agree that I like this version better because the series was unbearable. Golf dying in season one was enough to put me off, while I was hoping Bank would get some closure, Golf coming back to life and the reason for his “death” and the reality of his friends and family was so idiotic to me that I could not bear to watch the series. Even the viewers had high hopes for the second season after the first season was successful.

Star Power

The movie edition sees all the actors in their reprised roles. They have tried their best to act according to the storyline.

Overall Opinion

Overall, the show is not horrible, it is bad for sure though. Would I recommend watching it? No. Unless you watched the first season and are a really big fan who can overlook the minor and major mistakes and plot flaws, I would never recommend this series.
