“Haunted car” a businessman with a lot of secrets, takes a taxi home from the airport and comes face to face with his past again.
“Reborn” a mysterious woman who can talk to ghosts takes up the charge to free a hotel from the spirits.
In “The Book of Truth” a thriller writer gets an email about the legend of the leafy book and starts writing his book on the book not knowing that everything he wrote is coming true.
The Feel-Good Part
It is a horror movie and it’s not supposed to feel good. The movie is every bit creepy. Especially the second story. It is a true horror story that will give you goosebumps and cold shivers.
The Disappointing Factor
The movie is boring. It is an amalgamation of three different stories, if these three stories could have been combined into a single story toward the end, it could have been a bit more interesting. The three different stories are not gripping and it’s a bit dull.
In-Depth Analysis
Haunted tales is a combination of three different horror stories.
The first story “haunted car”, is about a young businessman, Pete, with a dark past, on his way home in a taxi from the airport. The driver makes an excuse for the roadblock because of some construction work and takes another route and starts revealing dreadful things from his past.
The second story “Reborn” follows a smart and bold woman, Tiwa, who has a special power with which she can talk to the dead. She agrees to help the owner of a hunted hotel by freeing the spirits. But she recalls the gruesome and horrifying murder that took place in one of the hotel rooms.
The third story “The Book of Truth” revolves around Jess a horror story writer. He receives an e-mail about the legend of the leafy book. He starts writing his new story in the mysterious book he found not knowing that whatever he is writing is coming true.
Star Power
However, boring the movie is, the star cast is great. Prang is a brilliant actress and she did an amazing job. Pae Arak and Mark Prin were also amazing in their roles.
Overall Opinion
The acting is good but the movie is boring. Some changes could have done wonders for the movie but it is not worth it.
