Movie Digest
The mirror shows us our reflection but that need not be who we are in person.
When one lives under the shadow of a beautiful sibling, then the person is filled with insecurities and constant self-doubt.
But this is not true in this movie? Riam, is envious of her more attractive sister Ram but, while Riam does feel out of place yet she is a confident and intelligent girl with a loyal group of friends.
One day, Riam’s sister and mother are kidnapped by hooligans as they want Riam to marry their boss. When Riam uncovers the plot, she takes the help of her friends to just not save her family but, also get herself out of the tricky situation (of marrying the boss).
The movie is all about Riam and, her band of oddball friends matching wits with the thugs and getting her and her family out of the mess.
The Feel-Good Part
On the one hand, the movie has many funny moments between Riam and her friends, and one the other hand touching scenes between her and the family, especially her mother.
The Disappointing Factor
Some of the comic scenes come across as silly, and also the story is a tad outlandish.
In-Depth Analysis
When you have a gorgeous sibling, you tend to be forgotten. But it also depends on the way you handle it. In this case, the female lead Riam is jealous of her sister but she is also an independent and smart girl.
Owing to the constant comparison with her sister, Riam feels out of place but this is compensated as she hangs out her goofball yet loving friends. Her friends are as loyal as they come, and have Riam’s back.
When her mother and sister are forcibly taken away, it is up to her to bring them back. She and her friends take on the thugs to not just protect her family but also herself.
There is a surprise ending which might make all Thai movie fans happy.
Star Power
Bella Ramp as Riam is simply superb in her role, and she is ably supported by the other members.
Overall Opinion
If you want a light-hearted watch after a stressful day, then give this movie a go.
