Movie Digest

Before their wedding, Ga Ram and Seon Jae have an accident. Ga Ram passes away, leaving Seon Jae in a coma. Garam wakes up in a strange realm after her death, where a stranger named X gives her a chance to save Seon Jae. He offers to take her back a week before their accident, but she must break up with him during that time. She feels hesitant about leaving him after she returns to the past because she realizes the depth of his love for her.

The Feel Good Part

The majority of the episodes are emotional and tear-jerking. Though it is a simple narrative, it conveys the effective truth of not taking things and people for granted. The main leads didn’t overdo their portrayal. We get flashbacks of their past, how they met and their individual perspectives about the relationship.

The Disappointing Factor

It appears that the writers were attempting to create a thought-provoking drama, but instead came up with a repetitive and ambiguous plot. The characters’ love didn’t appear genuine, and there was little chemistry between them. Breaking up and getting back together was becoming monotonous. The fantasy element is also poorly handled in the drama. Many questions were left unresolved, and many parts were confusing. It gradually loses its element of surprise and uniqueness.

In-Depth Analysis

The plot focuses around a stranger named X who has a vendetta against humanity since they are greedy and take love for granted. He believes that people should be penalized if they simply forget about love and go on. Garam and Seon Jae were likewise slowly drifting away when they met with an unfortunate event. When she realizes her error, she has a chance to save her lover, and it may also help person X learn about what it is like to truly love someone.

Star Power

Kwon Yuri did an excellent job portraying her character’s feelings and handling sensitive sequences. Hyun Woo embodied what it’s like to be the perfect boyfriend. Both of them delivered a great performance.

Overall Opinion

The play follows the usual cliches of couples making sacrifices for one another out of love. It’s neither overly deep and romantic, nor is it particularly inspiring.
