The Feel-Good Part

Arguably the best part of the entire film is the martial arts. It is so well rehearsed and well-choreographed that you can help but be in awe at the skill and talent that goes into these sequences and the stuntmen behind them. Another great aspect of the film is its cinematography and composition. It is so masterfully shot that not only does it do justice to the great fight sequences but it also highlights the tense and chaotic moments in the film. Overall, the film is really fun. By definition, this film is a cat and mouse game, but several aspects of it make it that extra bit entertaining to watch. There is an element of family, a multi-dimensional antagonist, the concept of an anti-hero, and so much more. It is a cat-and-mouse game on a rollercoaster ride of emotions and action sequences.

The Disappointing Factor

If you are looking for a coherent storyline then maybe this film is not for you. A lot is going on for a 1-hour and 40-minute film. Historical dramas are already hard to watch and keep up with the addition of intense fight scenes and complex visuals, does not make for a fun viewing experience. The storylines also overlap in ways that might be difficult for a new watcher of the genre to enjoy. If you can keep up with the fast pace, intense action, and bundle of storylines then you may enjoy the film as a whole

In-Depth Analysis

The film goes deep into the concepts of what goes around come back around, and how even criminals deserve redemption. It creates this wonderful antihero narrative that shows us that people are not just black and white but are morally grey. It also teaches us about growth and how everyone can grow from their old ways. This could be due to a change in their life course or this case, a child. No one is fully good or fully bad, and this movie shows us what that means.

Overall Opinion

The film is chaotic. Chaotic films are not necessarily everyone’s cup of tea, but it is still really good film.
