This drama is an adaptation of Patrick Rangsimant’s novel of the same title. My Mate Match is a lighthearted romantic comedy full of upbeat jokes, engaging characters, and fascinating events. Although the humor may not appeal to everyone’s taste, the quirky sequences may make you laugh. Throughout the episodes, it maintains a positive, upbeat tone. Even when multiple jokes fall flat, the series remains lighthearted and moves on to the next funny scene. This lovely BL drama is mindlessly entertaining. The performances are cheesy, with hammy emotions and sloppy line delivery. Although the leads grow more comfortable in their roles, they never improve sufficiently. It is ordinary, to the point where nothing is remarkable or noteworthy about the drama. However, the plot was well-crafted and well-written. While the love triangle provides some amusement, the relationship drama becomes overbearing at the end. Thankfully, the series finishes the chaos early enough, with the finale returning to a chirpy and joyful tone.
Star Power
This drama has a lively cast that includes Jet Jetsadakorn Bundit as Match, Jame Kasama Khanjanawattana as Mix, and Big Thanakorn Kuljarassombat as Ryu. Their acting was not up to par, and their efforts were too unrefined.
