Drama Digest
A drama is about the ghost of a high school girl who has been deceased for five years and an exorcist college boy who can see and hear ghosts. He’s discovered through the years that he can touch them and fight them off. So when the boy needs a part-time job and can’t find one that compensates well enough, he starts advertising on the internet as an exorcist for hire. He says in his ad that he “will square off with your spirits.” Chances of winning: 80 per cent for virgin ghosts, 40 per cent for bachelor ghosts, 97 per cent for kid ghosts, and 50 per cent for the rest. “One night, he went out to work and confronted a schoolgirl spirit, and throughout the fight, they unintentionally kiss, and sparks fly.”
The Feel-Good Part
I liked that the plot unfolded. Because there was no focus on romance, The romance element progressed naturally throughout the story, with little unneeded drama. This series does not impress me, but the ghosts were pretty frightening and featured good visuals like most Thai horror films. I appreciate that they combined Thai culture and tradition into some ghost stories. The spirits were still bearable, and I didn’t have any nightmares due to them. It was frightening at first, but you have gotten accustomed to it by now.
The Disappointing Factor
I was not too fond of the ambient sounds. It’s far too loud for me. The Sol-lek club members got on my nerves in the first part of the series. It mainly used this for humour, but it annoyed me. However, near the end, I began to appreciate them hanging around with Off. There was a big obstacle in the entire romance narrative. Some portions felt cringe-worthy, strange, or overdone, while others flowed seamlessly. I’m not convinced since they overlooked the bracelet they needed to pick up when battling the demon.
In-Depth Analysis
In this variety of dramas, there are aspects of horror, thrillers, friendship, comedy, romance, and family. The cast did an adequate job representing their characters, and they did not appear out of context. I enjoyed watching Jeen, Off, Junior, and Leng as a team and their charades, whether they’re working on a scenario or exorcising ghosts. The longest part was when junior and Leng got notified that their clubs got dismantled; the effectiveness of storytelling and pacing would have improved if moments had slashed those moments. Dr. Jade’s acting did an excellent job of creeping out the audience. The presentation of a friendly and animal-loving professor was creepy.
Star Power
Jade’s actor, Big Thongpoom Siripipat, is the greatest in this drama. Even when he had fewer lines, he communicated the emotion effectively. Off and Jeen’s relationship and chemistry are deepening. Saint was the primary lead, and I must say that he did an incredible job as the main character. And I love the female lead, Jeen. Leng and Junior, being those two bumbling people, were ideal for the humour element of the plot, situated between all the horror and action.
Overall Opinion
The special effects in this drama were on target and very well done; the zombies looked so real, and the make-up was flawless. The narrative was correct in the sense of an out-of-body experience. For me, this drama was unique and exciting to watch. It is light-hearted and straightforward to take up and follow. I liked all of the missions, emotions, and even the excessive number of terrible killings. This drama knew precisely, what it meant to be, and I loved every minute of it, even the unnecessary moments.
