Drama Digest

“Catch me Baby” is a Thai drama released in 2022. The drama is centralized around a belief that it is possible to fall in love with many altogether and the other thinks that true love is only one. It tells the love story of those two conflicting people.

The Feel-Good Part

This is an enjoyable Thai drama with comedy twists. It was a situational comedy instead of lame jokes. The plot was developed in a semi-episodic format, which made it less repetitive. The Romance trope of the show was also exciting, to address the enemies-to-lover kind of romance. As they acted as rivals, the second couple provided great entertainment. Many details in the show were thrown in casually and blended into the show well.

The Disappointing Factor

The show is entertaining until the lead couples got together, but after that, it turned chaotic and is a mess. It made the story quite confusing, with a lot happening simultaneously. The show fails the theme of Romance. Although the synopsis provides sufficient details on their love story, it was slow on Romance content. The leads had no chemistry. There were a lot of unnecessary characters that did not at much to the story and there is no relation to the main story. The storyline is all over the place.

In-Depth Analysis

Phat is known as a “Relationship Juggler.” He is disguised as an executive assistant for Sia Wut. Sia Wat has many wives and girlfriends. Phat’s job is to switch between five women so that no one finds out about the other. The mission is not an easy one, and it becomes more difficult with Cher arriving, who is a new female executive assistant. She is later revealed as an “Infidelity detective.” Now Phat’s juggling mission becomes risky with the entry of Cher; his missions become more challenging. He then takes help from his adoptive sister Pinky. Now another executive enters who is also a captain and is Foie’s rival. Foie is Cher’s cousin. The story becomes a cat-and-mouse race where there is continuously chasing as both Phat and Cher try to complete their missions. It made it hard for them not to show their feelings and keep themselves professional.

Star Power

Great Sapol Assawamunkong and Four Sakonrut Warauri played the lead characters Phat and Cher. They are incredible actors, but their romance and chemistry in the show were underdeveloped. The support characters and the second couple added a few elements to the story, although it was unsatisfactory.

Overall Opinion

Overall, it is fun, with humor added to the chaos. Besides, the story does not have much to offer, and it becomes confusing till the end, with many side characters popping up. The romance is also underdeveloped, and it is not worth watching.
