
The Uncanny Counter is a Korean fantasy drama that stars famous Korean actors Jo Byung-Gyu, Yoo, Jun-sang, Kim Se-Jeong, and Yeom Hye-ran. The plot follows Counters, demon hunters who disguise themselves as staff at a noodle restaurant to capture wicked spirits that have returned to Earth in search of eternal existence. Moon is the Counters’ youngest member. He becomes a central figure among the Counters after being involved in a bizarre vehicle accident as a child. Do Ha Na has the power to detect the presence of evil spirits from hundreds of kilometers distant. She can also read other people’s memories through touch and collaborates with So Moon to exorcise evil spirits. Ga Mo Tak is a tremendously powerful Counter. He’s a former cop who lost his memory following an accident seven years ago and is unwilling to remain silent in the face of injustice. So Moon’s mentor is Ga Mo Tak. Chu Mae Ok is a Counter who can heal. She is the noodle restaurant’s cook outside, but among the Counters, she is the group’s emotional pillar. The oldest Counter is Choi Jang Mool. He’s in charge of the Counters’ finances, and he’s something of a legend among the Korean Counters.
