Drama Digest
The host of the live broadcast show ditched everyone and escaped. To save the reputation of the company officious female president Xin Rui La went live herself with the chief bartender of the Mi Qing Bar. The identity of the bartender was still mysterious. Later after days fate unfolds in such a way that both of them had to meet again. Since Xin Rui La was this famous thriving successful woman she got too many nemeses that were jealous of her. One of her enemies, the villain of the story framed her for something wrong and Shi Wei, the bartender from the live broadcast helped her to clear her name out of it. That was when she got to know that Shi Wei was Wen Qi, a childhood friend of Xin Rui La whom she is logging to meet for 15 years. But why does Wen Qi now go by the name Shi Wei? What happened in the last 15 years? Watch the series to see where the search for her childhood sweetheart’s story takes her.
The Feel-Good Part
It’s nice to see even after so many years how both Xin Rui La and Wen Qi are eternally connected. They both heal each other along their way. Even after not being in touch for fifteen years their immense love and care never faded. Their story does complete justice to the word meant to be. No matter how distant you are from your love, it will find its way towards you. You will be mesmerized by their love.
The Disappointing Factor
I didn’t find anything disappointing about the story. But yeah the direction was a little off. The screenplay is not doing full justice with the story. The characters were not able to create the chemistry needed between them. It feels like the characters had a lot more to deliver than they could.

My lover is a mystery is a love story between two people who have been in love forever. The female lead is a famous businesswoman and the male lead is a bartender. At the beginning of the story, they tried showing Xin Rui La as this career-driven perfect woman but that message faded away as the story proceeded. The male lead also needs a little bit more perfection. But apart from that, you will love the romance in the story.
Star Power
My lover is a mystery Casts Cao Fei Ran as Xin Rui La and Fang Xiao Dong as Shi Wei. Though both the characters have played a brilliant role but the promises which the characters made in the beginning got lost in the way.
Overall Opinion
The story of My Lover is A Mystery is a great love story. Love is an elixir and this story proves it true. Even after living fifteen years apart both of them found their way back to each other. The way both complete each other is mesmerizing.
