Drama Digest

Two generations of three intellectual families in Peiping make choices and sacrifices in the midst of significant instability and change during the challenging period from 1937 to 1945.

The Feel-Good Part

This story is a mix of battles, delicate romances, fraternity, friendship, kindness to parents, respect for neighbours, patriotism, and desire for a better future at whatever cost. This drama will make you love your country regardless of how unhappy you are with it, and it will encourage you to fight for your country and independence. This drama will surely make you fall in love with your homeland. This drama had exactly the proper amount of romance in it, not too little, not too much… though the couples don’t have a lot of screen time, feels like a romance narrative like this was giving the feeling of a fresh, lovely, and warm love story.

The Disappointing Factor

This drama isn’t about love or actors; it’s about the pain of a people in a particular era and the sacrifices made by young men. It tells us about a people who did not renounce their culture or education despite their grief and poverty.

In-Depth Analysis

Generations of three intellectual families in Peiping make decisions and sacrifices in the midst of significant instability and changes in the times from 1937 to 1945. Some people want to preserve Chinese culture and keep the cultural bloodline alive. Idealists and realistic campaigners coexist. They do everything they can to save the country and survive, and they aggressively look for a route out of the country until finally making their way to the light.

Star Power

Aside from the synopsis’s contents, this drama was primarily intended to deal with the Japanese invasion of China in 1937, as well as the oracle bones. My understanding of this as a drama is that it contains facts about China’s history and the year of its inception. This drama also demonstrated the soldiers’, academics’, and countrymen’s passion for their homeland, to the point where they are willing to give their lives to defend it against the Japanese. This is a fantastic drama; the relationships between the characters are heartwarming, and the play offers several life lessons in every aspect.

Overall Opinion

This story is a blend of battle, soft romance, fraternity, friendship, generosity to parents, respect for neighbours, patriotism, and hope for a better future, no matter the cost. This drama will make you love your country no matter what, even if you are unhappy with it, and it will inspire you to fight for your country and your independence. This drama will undoubtedly inspire you to love your country.
