Drama Digest –
Lu Xiaoyu masters all martial skills taught by Master Bai Mei, he decides to face greater challenges in his life of love, war and decisions. His life experience for learning hundreds of lessons and being a responsible human while coping with the complex, demanding times is shown greatly in the sees. He prefers to live alone, as he wants to live for and with his skills and leaves all his luxuries of life behind him. His relationships with his friends, his lover and his family are left behind for his dreams and goals. Will he successfully cope with the hard knocks of life while living a comfortable life in the mountains?
The Feel-Good Part –
The story unfolded piece by piece with each episode, and that’s the beauty of this series. It keeps on getting better and better. The romantic segment is better, with good flashbacks showing their love after they separate. All of the characters have their fears and pains, and they all deal with them and also in the quest of finding each other and their love. This is one of the beautiful stories made in a drama. The other characters of the story consider him a secretive person who has qualities people do not know about. He wins the times no one expected him to win.
The Disappointing Factor –
The story revolves around the young characters, and it somewhat ignores the other characters from the story. The main leads are highlighted the most and given the most screen time, which does no justice to the other main characters in the show. This type of content has already been made multiple times in the drama industry, so there is no uniqueness in the plotline. The main character is someone with a lot of energy and motivation for his martial arts and it could be difficult for common people to relate with him sometimes.
In-Depth Analysis –
The shining part of the story is how young individuals deal with daily life. While Xiaoyu deals with his life and the issues related to them, he develops a serious relationship with himself while living in the mountains and deals with that fun awkwardness coming with it. The screenwriters, director and actor’s writing, directing, and acting in the series is unique for a single individual wearing so many hats and taking so many responsibilities. It is a light and fun series that sees life in a favourable light. The characters also describe him as someone who doesn’t make any noise about himself.
Star Power –
The male lead’s drama is the most impressive of them all. The acting and the character development are spectacular, and it truly brings another high to the series. His acting style towards the female lead is lovely, with his versatility and micro-expressions. The female lead is also getting better with the progression of the series, both in terms of acting and character development. It is rare for such a lovely portrayal of acting in Chinese drama. Xiaoyu is an intelligent man who can handle difficult times with great ease.
Overall Opinion –
It is an excellent drama with a good story to tell. It is a worthwhile watch.
