Drama Digest
This is a love story that starts when a girl becomes seatmates with her genius classmate. Things go haywire as Lin Xen Ching starts getting into trouble. She helps him navigate through this uncharted territory with her experience while being extremely calm. The impresses Lu Yi Bai, which later leads them to grow closer and work towards their respective dreams together.
The Feel-Good Part
The show is light-hearted and easy-going, which makes for a comforting watch. The drama doesn’t replicate the toxic plotlines that are usually present in school based dramas, which is refreshing to see. The characters of the show are quite realistic as they are naïve and optimistic often like the people in school, which is fun to watch. The friendship between the classmates is delightful to watch, it is guaranteed to take the audience back to their school days. The main couple is sweet; they also stay true to the school aspect in the story and their relationship, which is nice to see. The love triangle aspect of the show is well-executed as it lets go of all the clichés that come with this trope such as jealousy and toxicity. All the characters are quite respectful of one another, which is a lot more interesting to watch.
The Disappointing Factor
The pacing of the show is quite slow, which may cause some of the viewers to lose interest. The show is extremely long for a story in this genre. Some of the episodes feel like fillers as there isn’t much that happens during those episodes. There is a lack of development in the main couple’s relationship, which may leave the audience wanting for more, especially when there is time to develop it in the thirty-two episode run period. The plot is nothing new and its treatment is like countless other dramas, which is why many may choose to drop the drama early on.

The drama would have benefited from having a shorter run period as there isn’t too much of a plot to cover. There are many aspects that are fun to watch that take place outside the main romance, which gives the audience a variety that is good enough to keep them interested for most of the show.
