A Thai film actress featured in more than or around 300 films is none other than Petchara Chaowarat. She has shown her acting talent from 1961 to 1979. During her theatre days, Petchara Chaowarat has gained recognition for her dramatic eyes and unique hairstyles. Petchara was born and raised on 19th January 1943 in Rayong Province, which is in Thailand.
She first stepped into the acting world with the film Bentuk Rak Pimchawee in 1962. In this movie, Petchara Chaowarat played the lead character named Pimchawee, AKA Pim. Along with her Mitr Chaibancha as Athon and Sulaleewan Suwanatat as Yai Por are also in the film Bentuk Rak Pimchawee. After this movie, Petchara Chaowarat and Mitr Chaibancha appeared in more than 150 films and became a prominent couple in the Thai film industry. In 1967 Petchara Chaowarat featured in Die hai jiao long. Vichit Kounavudhi, Promsin Sibunruang, and Huang Tang directed the film. Along with Petchara as Ratsamee, Mitr Chaibancha as Chat, Shan Chiang, Li-Wang Wei, Ching Lu, Regina Pai Ping etc.
In 1970 a movie came up with the essence of comedy and romance. The film was Mon Rak Luk Thung. Over here, the famous onscreen couple Mitr Chaibancha and Petchara Chaowarat played the lead characters. Rungs Tassanapuk had directed the movie. The story of the romantic drama is about a poor man and a wealthy woman and the struggle for their love. The movie is reprised with the headline Sounds from the Field of Love. The purity and the popularity of the movie do not end here.
In 2010 a television series came off with the same name. In the television show, Monrak luk thung Tisadee Sahawong and Jittapa Jampatom were the lead characters. Apart from these movies, some other films where Petchara Chaowarat has made an appearance. The list; of such movies is Bandsaw sod, Gumpang Ngern Tra, Thung sushi, Ai Tui, The Devilish Killer, Raring CHL, Kung Hun Saward etc. After doing so many films, Petchara Chaowarat has gained the best actress award in the Thailand National Film Awards in 1964. She appeared on the silver screen for the last time in the movie. Her previous movie was Ai Khuntong, which came out in 1979. According to sources, it is explained that Petchara Chaowarat is on the borderline of blindness because she has to work too much in bright lights during her acting days.
