Tsuyoshi Abe was born in China on February 13, 1982, and raised in Japan. He moved to Japan at the age of 9 and later studied acting in Beijing. He learned different types of martial arts such as Karate, kendo, and Shorinji Kempo until his departure to the U.S. in 1985. Abe moved to Los Angeles In 1989 to continue his study of Jeet Kune Do under Dan Inosanto and the Filipino Martial Arts ( Kali, Esklima) and Thai boxing. He was also interested in Japanese sword-fighting (Shinkendo ) and got it trained by Toshihiro Obata. In 1990, Tsuyoshi Abe was brought into the stunt industry operating Non-Union films until he joined the Screen Actors Guild (S.A.G.) in 1992. Tsuyoshi has worked on many movie and television productions as a stuntman, Fight Choreographer, and stunt Coordinator. Abe returned to Japan and joined the Japanese skills agency, Horipro, in 2004.
His first debut was in 2005 with his supporting role in the hit drama Hana Yori Dango, alongside Mao Inoue and Jun Matsumoto. He played Initial D (2005), Boys Over Flowers (2005) and Boys Over Flowers: Final (2008). His hobbies include music, films, and traveling. He speaks fluently Chinese and Japanese.
The movies he worked in are Ansatsu Kyoshitsu -Sotsugyou Hen- (2016) – Sniper Red Eye, Mozu The Movie, Assassination Classroom: Graduation, Gekijoban Mozu (2015) – Satoru Muranishi, Sumagura (2011) – Bukutadashi Kabashi.
