Saki Fujita is a Japanese voice actress. She was born on October 19th, 1984, and raised in Tokyo, Japan.

In 2003, Fujita joined the Japan Narration Institute. In October of a similar year, she won the Special Jury Prize at the final competition of the Voice Artist & Singer Audition VS Audition 2003, which was sponsored by Pony Canyon. From April 2004 to July 2006, she was a second-generation reporter for Anime TV in the report “College students who want to be a voice actor.” In 2005, she auditioned for the lead character of the anime “SPEED GRAPHER” but ultimately lost.

Also, in 2005, Sakiko Fujita changed her name to the stage name. Saki Fujita. In 2006, she played the main character within the anime “Tsuyokisu Cool Sweet.”

After graduating from university in 2007 (March), she was cast as the voice of Hatsune Miku, the vocalization synthesis software VOCALOID2. On September 24, 2008, she debuted as a singer with the only “Crystal Quartz.” Afterwards, she graduated from the Japan Narration Institute and officially joined Arts Vision.

In 2006 (October 22), Fujita opened her blog, “Saki Fuji’s Electric Garden,” to the public. And, the blog’s content is sorted into a category, which is then given a unique color. For instance, her collection of photos of the sky has a bluish tone for the page.

 

She has considerable skill in Japanese calligraphy. In January 2007, she wrote her aspirations and “kanji-of-the-day” using her calligraphy skills.

Moreover, she loves to play baseball and is a fan of the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks. Growing up, her family was heavily invested in sports, together with her mother supporting the Yomiuri Giants. Her father, however, didn’t have a favourite team at that time but would often watch games at the side of the family. Sometimes, her father becomes a fan of the Hanshin Tigers fan and being egged on by her parents, Fujita started following the Fukuoka Daiei Hawks.

 

She is also a massive fan of the pop band Garnet Crow. Following the announcement of the band’s breaking up in 2013, she appeared on a Nico Nico Douga broadcast with AKB48 member Sumire Satou to debate the news.
