Kinryu Arimoto was an eminent personality of Japan. He was a puissant actor and voice actor who was previously affiliated with Production Baobab and was a shodan in Kenpo. He is still remembered for his work in Cowboy Bebop: The Movie (2001), Spriggan (1998), and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED (2002). He was born on February 11, 1940, in Tottori Prefecture, Japan. He was brought up in the country Japan only. His birth name was “Yoshitaka Arimoto,” and he got “Kinryū,” as his stage name. Subsequently, after getting his degree from the University of Japan, he commenced his career as a voice actor.

Kinryu began his journey in the 1960s and has an extensive record of achievements across TV animation, theatrical animation, video games, and dubbing roles. For the first time, he landed his hands on Mobile Suit Gundam SEED (2002). He had done numerous roles in his profession and has been acknowledged for most of them. One credit for his most famous part is playing One Piece pirate Edward Newgate, however, known as Whitebeard.

A few of his accomplishments in the field of television animations are; Kaibutsu-kun (1968), Jeanie with the Light Brown Hair (anime) (1992), Mobile Fighter G Gundam (1994), In the Beginning: The Bible Stories (1997), Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 (1998), Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (2009). His constant endeavors assisted in earning the fame and respect of people. Viewers enjoyed glancing at his masterpieces. Furthermore, he was featured at the age of 75 years in the Episode of Sabo: The Three Brothers’ Bond – The Miraculous Reunion (2015, as Whitebeard) for the very first time. Since then, he has been cast in 11 feature films.

His last appearance was on Armored Trooper VOTOMS: Pailsen Files The Movie (2009), in which he was portraying the character of Greyson character. He lent his talent to Video games and theatrical animations, too, for instance; Detective Conan: Strategy Above the Depths (2005), Inazuma Eleven: Saikyō Gundan Ōga Shūrai (2010), Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System (2019), Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together (1995) (Duke Juda Ronwey), Tengai Makyō: Daiyon no Mokushiroku (1997), Detroit: Become Human (2018, Japanese dub), Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits (2003), etc. His work in dubbing roles has been applaudable, like America’s Sweethearts as Hal Weidmann, Gigli as Detective Stanley Jacobellis, Romeo Is Bleeding as Nick Gazzara, and many more are there.

He died on February 1, 2019, because of Esophageal Cancer. He is still in the hearts of people around the world due to his brilliant contribution to this industry
