Yang Lan Hang, the main actor, leads a research group working on an experiment regarding seeds and cells. He is handsome and tall. He fells in love with his online friend, Bai Ling Ling. The two met on the Internet in their early years. They were in touch online for six years without meeting in real life. After Yang Lan Hang returned to China, he got admission to T University as a doctoral student. Unexpectedly, he ran into Bai Ling Ling when she was about to graduate from university. Unfortunately, during her thesis presentation, Yang Lan Hang found a mistake in her thesis, and that causes her failure to graduate. To make up for it, Yang Lan Hang continued to become a friend online to solve Bai Ling Ling and arranged her into the laboratory. Yang Lan knew she was his online friend, but Bai Ling didn’t know. He was scared to tell her the truth about him. Will Yang Lan be able to confess the truth? Will the misunderstanding between them resolve?
The Feel Good Part
It’s good to see the showcase of how the scientists worked for their research in the lab. Many dramas don’t show what kind of research or jobs scientists need to do.
Also, we witness the character development of our leads, especially the female lead, who slowly realizes her shortcomings. Character’s development into a better version of themselves is a very motivating part of this drama.
The Disappointing Part
The storyline seemed a bit dragged for no reason and lacked patience. Also, for some people, the plot theme, which is to trust someone in online chatting without meeting them in real life, might seem confusing or unrealistic.
In-Depth Analysis
It is a dual love story of scientist Yang Lan Hang and an undergraduate Bai Ling Ling in the virtual and real world. It’s interesting to see how their online relationship is more calm and compatible than in the real world. Also, the character development gets you hooked on it, as the actor’s become more likable.
Star Power
No wonder the male and female lead is the star couple of this show as they make this drama captivating. It’s fun watching how Bai Ling and Yang Lan communicate differently online and in reality.
Overall Opinion
It is a light drama, easy to understand, funny, and adorable. As it’s a short series, it won’t take much time. Also, it’s a happy ending for all the couples. So it is sweet and great for the audiences to watch this drama.
