“Nha Harn The series” is a remake of the 2019 “Nha Harn” film as a series version. The story tells the life of teenagers living in a rural area of Isan. It shows chaotic teenagers who love to dance Nha Harn. It is directed by Chantana Tiprachart.
The Feel-Good Part
The story is based in Isan, the northeastern region of Thailand that holds one-third of the country’s population. But the area is economically underdeveloped and people living there have uncertain futures and rare opportunities. This brings about all the worries among the teenagers shown in the story. It is an accurate and heartfelt depiction of rural Isan. It shows the diversity in culture by using a language that belongs to Isan. The location and scenery provide exquisite aesthetics to the show. It showcases topics such as- the Thai education system, privileges, forbidden dreams, etc. It also has a history of violence in Thailand, which is infused intelligently in the show. The problems created by the parents’ generation that children today need to solve are reflected. The production quality plot is perfectly executed. It is not a social commentary but shows the pain of hardship people face, which is represented by the characters.

In-Depth Analysis
The show reflects stories of all the teenagers who are facing various dilemmas. Yuphin has to choose between two guys in her life. The first guy, Sawan, is the one she cannot forget, and the other one, Singto, is too good. Sawan is an Isan singer called mor lam and Singto is an amulet seller at the market fair. Tlemai is undergoing massive pressure for his studies and to behave like a true man. He convinces a friend named Calcium to become his girlfriend and if they can keep the relationship going until graduation, they can leave the village and settle elsewhere. Things get complicated when he meets Kay. Calcium is now confused as she experiences new feelings while acting like his girlfriend.
Star Power
The characters did not fail to provide a heartwarming performance. They depicted the characters beautifully and brought out all the emotions, showcasing the simple lifestyle of Isan and the hardships that come along with it. Goonggink Patima Chamfa, Prom Ratchapat Worrasarn, Putter Dechphisit Jarukornapiwat, Frank Thanatsaran Samthonglai, and New Chunnawan Mandee were the remarkable lead actors.
Overall Opinion
Overall, this show is a masterpiece, and nothing can replace it. It depicts kids in Thai society along with all norms. The show exceeded all expectations and is better than most Thai shows. This rom-com series will give you a vibe like home.
