Movie Digest

This is a story of two youngsters, who consider themselves ugly, a woman, Jiang Zi Wei, and a man, Zhou Ao, who are included in a plan by a robot named Oh My God, who is sent 500 years in the future, from the year 2518, for what is said to be a great mission. The robot OMG changes both of their faces using a new imaging technology from the future to convert them into attractive-looking youngsters in order for them to carry out the mission willingly. The mission is to help various people from various fields change their faces in order to gain the faces they want for various personal purposes.

The Feel-Good Factor

The feel-good moments are some of the nuances that happen over the series that feel really humane, like somebody accepting themselves as they are, friendships, taking care of each other and each other’s families, etc.

The Disappointing Factor

All the sequences that happen throughout the series are filled with clichés, and there’s absolutely nothing interesting about them. The editing and graphics are just par. All the stories feel like something you’ve seen a million times before, so it does not get you excited.

In-Depth Analysis

Two people, Jiang Zi Wei and Zhou Ao, who are depressed due to their unfortunate physical appearances, are contacted by a robot called OMG. They are basically blackmailed into taking on this mission by the robot, saying they’ll go back to their previous looks if they don’t follow it’s orders. So they are left with no other option but to carry out the mission. They together set out on a mission to help everyone who want to change their physical looks or switch places with some other existing person. Both of them become friends and help other people together. The first person they help is an actress named Xiao Yan, who’s had numerous cosmetic surgeries to enhance her looks, is very popular in her industry, but regrets her surgeries and wants to go back to looking like her old self. Jiang Zi Wei approaches her to help her, but she denies it at first, but later submits herself to Zi Wei and asks her for help. She asks Zi Wei and Ao to bring back her previous self-looks. With the help of OMG, her looks are then completely reversed. She feels confused at first, with her company people and her husband denying to accept her this way, but in the end, she’s accepted by her husband and applauded by her fans too for coming out as her real self. There’s this second person, called Qin Sanbao, who, along with his friend, Mr. Zheng, spent all his money on buying lottery tickets in the hope of winning someday. But when he wins a 10 million yuan, his selfish friend doesn’t tell him and keeps the news and the money to himself. Later, Qin asks Zi Wei and Ao to turn him into Zheng’s money lender, Wang, who’s a rich business man and to whom Zheng owes money. They have a few arguments, with Wang asking Zheng to pay him back the money at the very moment. Zheng agrees to pay but asks for a day’s time. He then mortgages his house to get some money in his hands and goes to hand it over to Qin(disguised as Wang), and learns the truth about Zheng, who is wanting to give the 10 million to his friend, Qin, for his mother’s treatment. After this, Qin and Zheng sort out their differences by telling each other the truth. Soon, the truth about everybody eventually comes out and everything falls into place. In the sequel to the drama, Zhou Ao and Jiang Zi Wei develop romantic feelings for each other.

Star Power

There was no specific character that defied greatness, but the robot OMG seemed to have helped everyone a lot. Though it kept pestering both the leads to complete the mission by blackmailing them, it’s the one that helps everyone achieve what they want and spill the truth out.

Overall Opinion

It’s just a drama you can pass your time with when you don’t have anything to watch. Because the story is hardly appealing, so if anyone finds themselves loving this drama, good for them.
