Sara Malakul Lane (born 1 February 1982) is a former supermodel and actress of Thai and Scottish ethnicity. She’s acted in a number of Thai and Hollywood movies. She is best known for her role as the female lead in the Kickboxer action film franchise, which spans multiple films. She is a direct descendant of Rama I and Rama II of Siam through her mother’s side of the Chakri dynasty.
Malakul Lane was born in Guam to Alastair Lane, a Scottish father, and Thapthim Malakul na Ayudhaya, a Thai mother. She grew up in the United Kingdom and was educated at the Nist International School of Thailand in Bangkok. She is currently residing in Singapore.
Malakul Lane began her acting career when she was 15 years old, after winning a role in her first television series. Before migrating to America, she worked in Thai soap operas.
Her debut performance in a Hollywood film was in the 2003 film Belly of the Beast, in which she played Steven Seagal’s daughter. In 2010, she co-starred in Sharktopus with Eric Roberts[4], and in 2011, she co-starred in The Wayshower with Roberts and Peter Stormare. In the September 2016 film Kickboxer: Vengeance, she played a Bangkok detective who becomes the love interest of the main character. In 2018, she returned to the role in the sequel, Kickboxer: Retaliation.
