Runglawan Thonahongsa is a Thai actress who has appeared in films and Television Dramas. She was born in Nakhon Ratchasima (Khorat) on May 30, 1979, and graduated from Suan Dusit University’s Faculty of Arts.
Runglawan rose to fame in Thailand after impersonating Nu Hin, a popular Thai comedy character who was introduced to the big screen in the 2006 Thai film “Nu Hin: The Movie.”Runglawan won the Thailand National Film Association Award and two Bangkok Critics Association Awards for her performance in the film.
Nu Hin, a young and cheeky girl with a bob cut, dressed in the customary daily attire of rural Isan and speaking in the language of local ladies from a lower-class background, was created in the early 1990s by Thai cartoonist Padung Kraisri. Whenever and everywhere she contacts more sophisticated individuals while working as a housemaid in Bangkok, her funny and down-to-earth methods and happy-go-lucky attitude frequently lead to comical situations.
Some of her works include Lan Sao Niranam (2014), Saphai Sai Lab (2015), Like Mat Sang (2015),Rak Re (2015), Thayat Asun (2015), Chan Thana Sam, and Cha Chao Sao Chaphokit.
