Biography: Katreeya English

Katreeya English (born on 4th September 1976, in Oxford, South-East England) is a British-born Thai singer, solo artist, actress, and model. She is a former member of “Ratree,” the famous Thai project group. She has five albums under her belt, the most recent being “Sassy K on GMM Grammy”. In 2015, she released “They Call Us the Royals,” a new song she wrote for “Reading F.C. of the Football League Championship”. She voiced for the Thai dub of Shopkins. She has Thai and English ancestors.

Katreeya is a luk khrueng, or Eurasian, with a Thai mother and an English father. She speaks Thai and English fluently. She earned a “Bachelor of Arts” in English from the prestigious “Thailand’s Assumption University.”
At 14, she debuted in the entertainment industry as a singer with Jetrin’s “Kong Wai” music video. Later, she starred in several Thai dramas and films. She rose to prominence as one of Thailand’s most successful actors. Kat has broadened her repertoire into pop songs after achieving recognition as an actor. She published her first album, “Kat Around the Clock,” a massive success in 2001. She delivered five albums throughout her career, the most recent being “Sassy K on GMM Grammy.”

Katreeya worked in several successful movies, including ‘Khun Ying Jom Kaen’ (1993), ‘Nam Sai Jai Jing’ (1994), ‘Sakawduen’ (1995), ‘Kaw Pluek’ (1994), ‘Kemarin Intira’ (1997), and ‘Salakjid’ (1997). She was also featured in ‘Ruam Ngan Rak’ (1998), ‘My Love, Katreeya’ (1997), ‘Wimarn Mekkala’ (Paradise Land) (1999), and ‘Ruam Ngan Rak’ (1998). ‘Pungnee Chan Ja Rak Khun’ (Tomorrow, I’ll Love You) (1999), and ‘Sao Noy Nai Takeangkeaw’ (Genie in a Bottle) (2002) are two of her most successful films. Her other significant movies include ‘Budtsaba Krab Phom’ (Lady’s Boy)(2005), ‘Kon Song Kom’(2001), ‘Lei Rai Ubai Ruk’ (Tricks of Love)(2005), ‘Duang-Ta Sawarn’ (Heaven’s Eyes)(2011), and ‘The Gifted’ (2018).

Katreeya recognises the value of her famous status. Throughout her career, she had a positive impact on the youth. She loves entertaining others. Her ability to perform the activities she enjoys is essential to her well-being. She is an outstanding performer who loves attending large-scale events. Kat has, of course, served in Thailand’s prestigious shows.
Her close friends include Chakrit Yamnarm (Krit) and half-Thai-Scottish actor Ray McDonald. They were classmates in high school. Katreeya and Chakrit were nicknamed “KitKat.”
