Biography: Davika Hoorne

Davika Hoorne, commonly known as Mai Davika, is a Thai actress and model of Belgian descent. Her name was inspired by Thai singer Mai Charoenpura. She was born in Bangkok, Thailand, on 16^th May 1992. She has been in a romantic relationship with Chantavit Dhanasevi since mid-2018. Fern Pimchanok Leuwisedpaiboon, a renowned actress, is one of her closest friends.

Davika debuted as the lead actress in the 2010 Thai television series, ‘Ngao Kammathep.’ She gained fame in the ‘Suddenly Twenty’ and ‘Heart Attack,’ starring Sunny Suwanmethanon. She received her primary and secondary education from “Phraharuthai Donmuang School and Kevalee International School.” Davika received her Bachelor’s degree from Rangsit University in ‘Communication Arts.’

She worked in Thailand’s highest-grossing film of all time, ‘Pee Mak’ with Mario Maurer. She also collaborated with the Korean singer ‘Ali’ in a music video titled ‘No Way’ released by ‘Genie Music.’ Davika collaborated with Vietnamese singer ‘Sn Tùng M-TP’ in the music video ‘Run Now.’

She shared an award with Mario Maurer in the 2016 ‘Asia Model Awards’ in Korea. Davika is an ambassador of UNICEF and ‘WildAid Thailand.’ She also worked as a spokesperson for the famous cosmetics company, ‘L’Oreal.’ She joined the ‘New York Fashion Week 2017’ with Michael Kors on 30^th September 2018. She walked the runway for ‘L’Oreal Paris Fashion Week’ in Paris, France. She also appeared at the ‘Dolce & Gabbana Ready to Wear Fashion Show’ during ‘Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2019’ held on 23rd September 2018 in Milan, Italy. She received the title of ‘Milan Fashion Week’s Most Entertaining Newcomer’ by ‘Vogue.’

She featured in several Thai movies, including Fatherland (2012), Pee Mak (2013), The Scar (2014), Heart Attack (2015), Prisana (2015), and Suddenly Twenty (2016). She also appeared in Diary of Tootsies 2 (2017), Roy Lae Sanae Luang (2013), Maya Rasamee (2012), Ngao Kammathep (2010-2011), Dok Kaew (2011), Neur Manoot (2011), and Tawan Tor Saeng (2012). Kularb Rai Kong Naai Tawan (2014), Nang Chada (2015). Plerng Naree (2016), Chai Mai Jing Ying Tae (2017-2018), My Ambulance (2019), Nang Sao Mai Jam Kad Nam Sakul (2018-2019), and You Are My Heartbeat (2021) also featured her in significant roles.

Davika also worked as the dubbing artist for “Queen of Presenters.” She is everyone’s favorite, including makeup artists, magazine firms, stylists, and local and international advertising companies.
