Biography: Cynthia Burbridge

Cynthia Burbridge (born on 30th December 1978), also known as Sirinya Winsiri in Thailand, is a model, actress, TV host, and beauty pageant winner. She hails from Bangkok, Thailand. She is best known for her role as a judge and host on “Asia’s Next Top Model.”

Cynthia has American, English, Indian, and Thai ancestors. She married Byron Bishop, a half-American, half-Japanese model, in 2005. They have two children, a son and a daughter, named Leila Carmen and Aiden. She completed her graduation from the prestigious “Bangkok University.”
Cynthia grew up in Pattaya after being born in Bangkok. William Burbridge, her father, is of American descent, and Patricia, her mother, is of Indian, English, and Thai descent. She attended Bangkok’s “Ruamrudee International School.” She earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations from “Bangkok University.”
Cynthia began diving at five. As a result, she won her first modeling contract for an underwater commercial shoot for a diving equipment business. She received the “Miss Thailand World” pageant in 1996. Then, she represented Thailand in the “Miss World competition” held in Bangalore, India. Unfortunately, she remained unplaced and did not advance to the semi-finals.

Cynthia’s filmography includes the 2005 action film, “The King Maker.” She received a nomination for the “Best Supporting Actress” category at the “Thailand’s Suphanahong Awards” held in 2005. She also worked in “All I See Is You (2016).” Cynthia appeared in several Thai drama series, including “Madame Mod” (1996), “The Crown Princess” (2018), “Gossip Girl: Thailand” (2015; as Lily Wijitranukul), “The City Of Light” (The OC Thailand), “Jark Fun Su Nirandon” (1998), “Likit Ruk Likit Luerd” (2006), “From Dreams to Eternity, and Clueless” (1995).” She hosted the fourth season of “Asia’s Next Top Model” in 2016. She hosted the sixth season of the show, which aired in 2018 as well. Cynthia appeared in two episodes of “Cycle 12″ of “Britain’s Next Top Model,” as a host.
Cynthia appeared in “F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers” in 2021. The drama is a Thai adaptation of Yoko Kamio’s popular Japanese manga series “Boys Over Flowers.” She portrayed the character of Thyme’s (Domyoji Tsukasa in the manga) mother.

She collaborated with the Thai Women and Men Progressive Movement Foundation and UN Women, initiated on 25th June 2018. The widespread campaign turned into an exhibition to raise awareness of sexual harassment and victim-blaming in Thailand.

Cynthia received a nomination as the “Best Supporting Actress” at the “Suphannahong National Film Awards” in 2005. “BBC’s 100 Women” ranked her in the official list announced on 23rd November 2020. She gained fame for her excellent acting skills.
