Awards: Bangjong Pisanthanakun won the Austin fantastic fest for best Horror film in 2007 for the Alone.
He has won the Golden Kinnaree Award for the film Shutter(2004), the film was the biggest box-office hit in Thailand that year, and was also a hit in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and Brazil. Shutter has since been remade in three other languages, including the 2008 Hollywood film shutter. In 2012 he has been nominated for the film The ABCs of death in the Chicago International Film Festival. In 2006 Gerardmer Film festival the film shutter also wins the award. He has won the Osaka Asian Film festival, Screamfest, Thailand national film association award for the film One Day(2016), Pee Mak Phrakanong(2013), Kuan menu ho (2010), See prang (2008).
