He won the “Best Adapted Screenplay” nomination for “Libera Me (2000)” and “Fighter in the Wind (2004)” at the “Grand Bell Awards in 2015.” He worked on the films “Holiday (2006),”Grand Prix (2008),” “Rainbow Eyes (2007),” among others. Yang also co-directed “Iris: The Movie,” a film based on the 2009 television series of the same name.
