Toshiko Fujita is a famous Japanese actress. Also known as the voice actress, narrator, and vocalist. She was born on April 5th, 1950. She lives in Dalian, Liaoning, China. She is married.
When she was six years old, she worked in radio and television field as an actress, singer, and comedian. In addition, she also sang theme songs for anime like the 1969 adaptation of Dororo. Fujita is probably best known for her role as Taichi Yagami in the Digimon Adventure Anime franchise. With it, she also dubbed several English languages films in Japanese, as well as lending her voice to anime, like Ikkyū-san (Ikkyū), Jigoku Sensei Nube (Hiroshi Tateno), Cat’s Eye (Rui), 3×3 Eyes (Ms Huang/Shunkai, Shunli Huang/Xungui), Silent Möbius (Rally Cheyenne), Zatch Bell (Zofis), Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibōken (Dai), Chihayafuru (Taeko Miyauchi), Glass Mask (Chigusa Tsukikage), Wicked City (Makie), Space Adventure Cobra (Jane Royal), Outlaw Star (“Hot Ice” Hilda), Fist of the North Star (Mamiya), Kiteretsu Daihyakka (Kiteretsu), and Allison & Lillia (Corason Muto), among many others. She also voiced ‘Big Mom’ during the ‘Fishman Island arc of 1 Piece’. Besides this, she also won the “Best Voice Actor” within the 1st Nihon Anime Taishou in 1984. Fujita also performed in stage plays, voiced narration for commercials, voiced narration for shows on the CX and NTV channels, and provided dub-voices for Western movies and animated series.
In the later years, her work was limited due to her poor physical condition and health problems. Unfortunately, she passed away on December 28th, 2018. She had breast cancer at 68yr-old.
