Seo Jang-hoon is a former South Korean professional basketball player who is currently active as an entertainer and variety show star. Seo made his KBL debut in 1998 and continued with the Seoul SK Knights until 2002. That same year, he joined the Seoul Samsung Thunders, where he stayed until 2007. He was a member of Jeonju KCC EGIS from 2007 to 2008. Seo joined the Incheon Electroland Elephants in 2008 and remained with them until his retirement in 2013.

In 1994, Seo joined the South Korean national team. He competed in the FIBA World Cup as a member of the team. In 1994, his squad finished second in the Asian Games. In 1997, he and his team won the ABC World Basketball Tournament. He played in the 1998 FIBA world cup. He joined the 2002 Asian Games and won the tournament. He took 4th place in the 2005 FIBA Asian cup and 5th place in the 2006 Asian Games.

Seo received multiple awards during his career, including College All-Star MVP. In 1994, he was named Rookie of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year. In 1997, he was named College All-Star MVP, and in 1998, he won the rebounding honor. He was MVP, All-Star MVP, and a member of the KBL’s top squad in 2006. In 2008, he also was in the KBL best team and received a Rebound award and Korean Basketball Best five award. In 2009, again was in the Korean Basketball Best 5. In 2013, he received a KBL special award. He is the only player in Korea to reach 10000 points.

After retiring from basketball, Seo began his career as a guest star on television series before signing with Mystic Entertainment in 2013.

He is a regular celebrity panelist on the singing competition show Fantastic Duo, which debuted on April 17, 2016. He is also a regular panelist on the talk show Same Bed, Different Dreams and a permanent cast member of JTBC’s Knowing Bros.
