Nam Gi-Nam was a well-known South Korean film, animation, and television series director. He was born in Gwangju, South Korea, on April 17, 1942. Gwangju is a city in South Korea’s southwest corner. It is well-known for a 1980 pro-democracy revolt. He earned his bachelor’s degree in art from Sorabol Art College. Don’t Cry My Daughter was his first film as director, released in 1972. Animation, comedies, and science fiction were his main genres of work. He gets frequently linked to actor and director Shim Hyung-Rae. He had directed fifty-nine films and wrote three films in 1998, 1993, and 1991.
He tried acting as well in 1987 in the movie “Seoul women”. After giving so many hits, Nam Gi-Nam passed away on July 24, 2019.
